K

A suburb some 25 km (15 miles) north of Stockholm. Jay lived here from approximately 1986-1995. Also about 6 months 2002/2003.

(Map) In 2002, Jay had to return to Sweden (or at least leave US for a period of time). He landed in Sweden on September 9 and initially got a room in Hammar's apartment. Soon, though, he managed to rent an apartment of his own since one of his mother's friends, Tore, was a real estate owner. The apartment was just about 100 meters from his old apartment at Kopparvägen 63 (and even closer to Jonas' place, who at the time lived at Kopparvägen 32). Jay moved in November 1. After 6 months or so, he got scared of loosing Mimi and in a hurry decided to go back to the US.

As usual, Jay left without even doing the dishes, so, in a familiar pattern, Jonas had to step in. Jay's emigration happened to coincide with the return of a friend of Jonas (Magnus) that had been backpacking in Asia for eight months. Prior to his trip, Magnus had sold about everything and had nowhere to live. Jonas contacted Tore and asked if it would be ok for Magnus to take over the apartment. He wasn't very happy about the situation, but did an inspection one dark and icy evening and said ok. Meanwhile, Fredrik worked on selling Jay's Saab 9-3 Aero that he had purchased.

It wasn't long into Magnus' takeover until the power all of a sudden disappeared. Turned out that Jay had missed to pay the bill.

On December 29, 2003, Magnus finally left the apartment.

(Map) This is where Jay and his mother (occasionally) lived until moving to the US in 1995. Three bedroom apartment. Jay had the room with the balcony. The window to the left of the balcony was the living room window. When Jay practically had the whole apartment to himself (in 1994 and 1995) he had his computer right next to this window.
